Project Overview: £18,000 FREE Eco Grant for Landlord in Rosendale

In December 2024, we completed an eco-friendly installation in a building containing four flats in Rosendale, funded by an ECO4 grant. This project involved significant upgrades to improve energy efficiency and comfort for the tenants.

The property featured solid walls, which made it eligible for internal wall insulation (IWI). We insulated the external walls from the inside while the already insulated flat roof provided additional thermal benefits. We also installed modern high heat retention storage heaters that charge overnight on a dual tariff, helping to reduce energy bills.

Unique to this installation, we used an innovative approach for the solar panels. Instead of traditional mounting methods that could compromise the flat roof’s integrity, we employed a system that anchors panels using bags of sand, allowing for optimal solar positioning without risking leaks. This method has proven effective, as we have successfully installed hundreds of panels on similar properties.
