Honouring VE Day 80 Years – A Tribute from Castle Eco-Solutions

Today, on Victory in Europe (VE) Day, we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who served in the Second World War. To mark this historic day, our team at Castle Eco Solutions in Whalley will be coming together for a special Tea Party — a moment to reflect, celebrate peace, and honor the bravery of those who helped secure it.

VE Day, celebrated annually on May 8th, commemorates the end of World War II in Europe in 1945. It was a day when communities across the UK and beyond united in joy, waving flags, singing hymns of hope, and standing proud in gratitude for the bravery of countless men and women.

This morning at 11:00 AM, our team observed a moment of silence to remember those who gave everything to secure our freedom. We also encourage our staff, customers, and community to reflect on the importance of sustainability—not just in how we build and renovate homes, but in how we protect our communities and preserve our shared history for future generations.

Looking Forward

Just as the heroes of the past rebuilt our nation with resilience and pride, we aim to do our part today. Through energy-efficient home upgrades, quality craftsmanship, and a deep commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, we’re working towards a sustainable future that honours the legacy of those who came before us.

From everyone at Castle Eco Solutions, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all who served and to the communities that continue to carry their legacy forward. Together, we can build a better, greener tomorrow.
